What's That?

The eternal question. Everything is so meaningful in Benjamin’s innocent eyes and it is so wonderful to live vicariously through his world. He sees the world with such a fresh, naïve view. It’s absolutely fascinating to watch him view the world. When he is in the car, he is full of curiosity and delight. At the moment, he is not bored with his surroundings. Yes, we know this will change – but right now it is so much fun to experience life (again) through our child’s eyes. And, every time he asks, “what’s that?”, we love it.

Morning Ritual. Here is what we walk into in the mornings. We hear the first words of the day, “uh oh”. When we walk in his room we find his blankets, sock monkey, stuffed bunny, ugly doll, and turtle nightlight on the floor with Benjamin pointing to the ground. In Benjamin’s world the mysterious reason behind their fall merits an “uh, oh”. Waking to a thud when said items fall to the floor can be a bit startling but it's cute.

Tricks:

Cheers. Yes, our child likes to toast his cup with our drinks. So, if you are ever near him with any beverage of choice, please toast him - he loves it. We know you must be thinking we are a bunch of lushes but really, we are not. We just like to celebrate life whether it's a cup of water or a cup of wine.

Chapstick:
Imitation is indeed a form of flattery; however, when it comes to “putting on” Mami’s chapstick – it isn’t the best flattery considering Benjamin thinks Mami is eating her chapstick.

We had a rather rainy week so we had to do a lot of creative things indoors.

A little bowling in the hallway...

Dump truck love.

Mami and Papi celebrated their 4th wedding anniversary with quality time. Our little guy actually enjoyed the cake - a first!

Till next week.
