Whirlwind of events.

We survived a runny nose for 2 long weeks. Benjamin is grateful that he no longer is followed around with a tissue.

Forget Macaroni and Cheese – it needs to be renamed Crack “n” Cheese. Our child squeals when he is served this creamy pasta dish AND he cries when he is finished. Too bad this isn’t considered a vegetable.

We hope our son becomes a world famous chef because he really likes to play with his kitchen. He pretends to cook for us even if it is just salad dressing and ketchup bottles he mixes in a pot. If he becomes famous, that means he will take care of his parents with all the money he will make. But, we also may have to accept that if he becomes famous, then he might be mean because for some reason some famous chefs are mean. ;)
Such a boy - playing with a worm:

Benjamin hung out at one of his favorite spots this week: Discovery Green. He hopped on a big wheel with his buddy Charlotte and she didn’t seem to mind. (Although, we must add he wasn’t intending to share it, he just sat on her in hopes she would move). So, instead of telling Benjamin to be nice and wait his turn, Mami took photos because they were cute together.
Being a parent also means constant confusion and unpredictable moments. Benjamin will climb a tall playground ladder but he will cry if he is on the “bird’s nest” canvas when other children are jumping around him.
No fear of heights or broken bones but complete fear of jumping on some sturdy, stable canvas. ??

Latest Teeth Count: 12

New words for the week:
Kitty: “Ki-eee”
Broom: “Bwoom”
Boo Boo: “Boo Boo”

Our fish monkey started his 3rd session of swim lessons yesterday. He did excellent and showed more enthusiasm toward the water. Splashing, smiling, and kicking while he was in the water. He is very comfortable being handed over to the instructor and his favorite is grabbing the rings under the water. He has nine more weeks of lessons and it’s going to be a lot of fun for little B. Hopefully, we can work on improving his hatred for floating on his back.

Benjamin also starts his 3rd session of Spanish lessons this week. We couldn’t resist having him join the festivities again because it is a good social hour for him in addition to a learning experience.

Last but not least: DRAMA

Mami tested her parenting skills today. Long story short – she locked her child in the car with the keys on the front seat. Luckily we have great neighbors (they called fire department) and good thing the fire station is a sneeze away. Benjamin was initially a trooper, smiling, reading his book, and thinking Mami was playing a game with him. But, when the fire truck, firemen, the ambulance, the tow truck, and the police officers all showed up then he got nervous. 10 minutes can be an eternity when things aren’t going your way, but alas, we all survived and Benjamin was safe and sound. Mami brain is not working well these days. We are grateful for ALL the personnel and our wonderful neighbors Oliva and Robert who came to our house today to save our little guy. Perhaps the medal at the end for Benjamin was getting to see a fire truck and ambulance up close – but maybe too close for comfort. Sigh.

Till next week. Hopefully, next week is less “eventful”.

Okay...

1) i have the same sentiment about mac and cheese

2) chef benjamin RAMSEY :)

3) i'm sure all moms do that 'lock 'em in the car' thing at some point or another, right? at least it was at your house and you didn't have a bunch of strangers looking on and JUDGING you... only neighbors and they love you ;)
