What's new here? Benjamin likes to wave goodnight/goodbye to everything in our house before he naps/sleeps. It's a good "closure" for his day of play. Goodnight toys, goodnight chairs, goodnight kitchen…etc… What Mami finds very endearing and very reassuring is Benjamin likes to wave goodnight when he is put to bed. He hugs his sock monkey and pulls his blanket tight and waves. If only we could bottle that cuteness and savor it forever.
Daily ritual: throwing all the books out of the bookcase on the floor and flipping through the pages.
Pure joy for our little boy.
Our little guy helped Papi with some gardening over the weekend.
He loves to water the yard and gets feisty if we try to take the hose away from him. Our biggest challenge is the busy street in front of our home.
We need a fence for our driveway. Our monkey likes to run straight for the street. What's different than his "younger" days is that he is a) faster and b) it has become a game for him to run really fast all the while giggling when we are screaming after him to stop. The funny thing is we put a chalk line and the word stop on the concrete driveway to create a "boundary". And, well, our clever little monkey actually stops at the chalk line - BUT he walks AROUND the line and on the grass to avoid the boundary. We, as parents, are such chumps. ;)
Benjamin hung out with his buddy Kai today. He likes to show his toys but does not like to share them. But, we are working on that – will be a constant work in progress!
And, yes, that is a rather large scratch on his little chin. He handled his fall with a brief moment of tears but moved on once he was distracted by something new. Our little toddler has taken quite a few falls lately - he has the scraped knees and chin to prove it.
