Jamaica. Baby Steps. And Clapping.

Our favorite little person has started to clap! Talk about making us smile! Watching Benjamin discover pressing his little hands together is our favorite pastime.

We took a trip to Jamaica for seven days to attend our good friends' wedding.

So, we developed the "No problem, Mon" mindset for a good week. Unfortunately, we had to return to reality...that's the only "bad" thing about vacation. Benjamin did fantastic on the flights and the bus trips (the commute made for long days) - he definitely takes after his Papi because Benjamin sleeps well no matter the noise level. His best sleep was achieved on the actual beach with the sound of the ocean in the background.

Benjamin had no problem making friends. The staff at the resort fell in love with our little guy and even offered to babysit.

All in all - we are glad we took him with us (not only because we love being around him) but because he made good conversation with the locals, the guests, and hotel staff. Hopefully, we can go back to Jamaica before Benjamin is old enough to order a Red Stripe beer or Dirty Banana cocktail.

And, one of our fondest memories was watching the sunset - we will never forget how beautiful it can be.

Another very exciting moment - Benjamin took his "first" steps - he did a couple of steps (without realizing it) in Jamaica. He has walked a couple more steps since the trip. He has the standing stance down - now we wait for the eventual walk. Any time now. We look forward to our little monkey walking.

Till next week.
