Well, we have learned many things about Benjamin this past week. He experienced his first airplane flight! We took our little guy to Fort Collins, Colorado to visit our friends Heather, Tommy, Rane, and Taylar (the Jacksons).
Benjamin did better than we had anticipated on the flights to/from Colorado/Houston. He played the entire flight to Colorado and he slept the entire flight home to Houston. We placated him with Cheerios, keys, and magazines. Traveling with an infant adds new "energy" to flying, but we all did well.
We all enjoyed the beautiful, cool weather by spending time outside. Benjamin and Taylar had some bonding time riding bicycles. This was Ben's first time on a Radio Flyer Tricycle with a very handy co-pilot feature.
Ben had his first merry-go-round ride at a festival in Boulder. He was enthralled with the lights, sights, and music.
Our trip was delightful, restful, exciting, and full of energy. Taylar taught Benjamin a lot about toys, stairs, walking, and playing.
For a few days, Benjamin made a cute face by crinkling his nose and would breath hard while he would concentrate - however, he stopped as fast as he started. Too bad because it would have been a cute photo op. He is still standing on his own when he doesn't realize it. We are waiting for the moment for when the standing transitions into walking.
We are currently trying to return Benjamin back to his normal routine, "schedule". We are very proud of Benjamin and us, as "new" parents, because we all traveled well without any hiccups. We also enjoyed hanging with the Jacksons in such a beautiful state. Good company, good weather, good times.
Till next week.
