A Toddler's Wisdom

Benjamin Wisdom seems to be taking over our blog. We cannot help it. We love our son’s point of view.

I LOVE YOU. . . MORE

When we tell our monkey that we love him, he likes to say he loves, loves, loves (keep going)…….us. So, our response: I love you more. Then, he tells us, “No, that’s TOO much.” Note to Benjamin: No, my dear. There is no way possible to love you too much.

THE EYE RUB

One of our favorite parenting moments: The eye rub and the insistence that, “no, I am not tired” that goes along with it.

THE BUTT IN THE AIR

We are happy to report that he still does this. And well, we must admit that since he has been out of diapers (it’s been a while) it is just so hard not to squeeze his little bottom.

BROKEN

Once upon a time, Mami made the mistake of asking her little one if his legs were broken. Well, now everything is broken. When B. is tired, he declares his “eyes are broken, his bed is broken, etc…

LEAVES:

Benjamin has an idea: He wants to glue leaves back onto the trees.

THINGS WILL WE MISS ABOUT MACAE

As we approach our final days in Macaé, it's time to say a few things.

What will we miss?

The serene, quiet, and lazy beach.

We will miss the tranquility and simple vibe of the town, the beach, and the ability to walk and drive with less traffic.

We will miss our perfect-sized "kiddie" pool made just for Benjamin because he was able to stand in the entire pool as if it were his own giant bathtub (toys included).

The ocean at twilight.

Our favorite restaurants: Kactus (Mexican)
and Lucca (Italian).

Our first family photo in Macaé back in January:

What will we not miss?

We will not miss the "smallness" of the town which believe it or not made making friends challenging. We are very excited for our new adventure in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro.

Goodbye Macaé, Hello Rio!

Till next time.

I love all the "broken" stuff. He's so funny.

Can't wait to follow the adventure in Rio... :)
