Stuff to Chew On.

The problem with being a slacker..is that there is so much to say and so many photos to post. Hello, Hello, Hello! We have so much to say.

Our little boy's personality:

When Benjamin grows up, he wants to be a fireman. We know this because he told us. This admission is an adorable heart-tugging moment in parenthood. It's so amazing to hear your child say something so "profound". This is one of those moments where you ask your child the same question just to hear the answer again. So, next time you see little B., ask him what he wants to be when he grows up and if he is not feeling shy, he just might tell you. However, we must add this disclaimer: He tends to do/say the opposite of what we say. It's a child's job to prove parents wrong.

Around the 'hood:

We had some trees trimmed and Benjamin was in "construction heaven". The noise, the cranes with buckets, the tree shredder (mulcher) - you name it - he was in love.

Cruising...
What's better than construction cones?

Halloween:

Zoo Boo.

We grabbed the grandparents and took little B. to experience Halloween at the zoo.

Pumpkin patch. Hanging out with grandma.

Benjamin had a couple of costumes this year. He was a dinosaur and initially he agreed to wear the costume because we convinced him that it was "cool" to have a tail.
He was adorable, but then again, we strongly feel like he would be adorable in a paper bag.

He was also a "rocket man" which was a costume provided by Benjamin's favorite neighbors. He liked the costume because, well, he did not have to wear anything over his head.

Trick-or-Treating

Benjamin had a fabulous time trick-or-treating with his cousin Lillian and Uncle Mike. Yes, our child was in awe that people (his neighbors) were handing out candy. However, we had to teach him a bit of etiquette: Don't grab the entire bowl of candy and do NOT try to enter people's homes.

Does it get any cuter than this?

The kids had such a good time (and we parents had an equally good time).

Mami's favorite little people.

Uncle Mike with two of his favorite little ones (we can only assume).

Every day is a treat with "Aunt" Janis.
Marcos handing out the goods.
Matt and Treasure dumping candy in the buckets.
Benjamin "running" to get a treat from Rebecca.

Now, the problem with all this Halloween mania is that we convinced Benjamin that everything (monsters, witches, etc.) was NOT real so he did not feel scared. So, this has now backfired because, well, retailers like to display Christmas stuff before Halloween ends. So, Santa Claus is hanging out near the witches, goblins, zombie decorations. Benjamin now says, "Santa, he's not real". Hmmm...one of many parental "dilemmas".

Birthday Party:

Benjamin had the pleasure of attending his buddy Landon's birthday party at a new kids' indoor playground in our neighborhood - Wonderwild.

What did Benjamin love about this experience (besides cake and friends?).

A hand-propelled train and a ball pit.

Check out this cool train.

Ball pit chaos.

This photo looks familiar - same boys eating cake...

Till next "time".

Love the hard hat - that's hilarious!

And those photos with Lillian are just precious!
