"Mami, don't talk"

Yes, our little sweet, angelic pumpkin is now telling us to not talk. If he only knew how much we say in this blog. We suspect there would be a lot MORE chatter about not talking.

WORDS:

Favorite words from a toddler's mouth...our toddler's mouth, specifically:

Ambulance: "Am-blance"

Scare: "Sare" - now, we don't like him to feel this way but this word pops up more now that Halloween is approaching.

BIRTHDAY PARTY:

Benjamin's buddy Charlotte turned 2 and so we celebrated with painting, wagon rides, swinging, hanging, digging in dirt, blocking slides, and eating cupcakes with lollipops.

Birthday girl.

He loved painting.

Digging in dirt.

Lollipop love.

Hanging around.

Painting buddies.

Soccer fun.

We left the party a little early because Benjamin wanted to eat a million lollipops and the sugar rush from the "thousands" he had was starting to impede his ability to play well with others.

RANDOM THINGS:

Benjamin counted to 14 the other day; however, he omitted a few numbers - but we must admit - Sesame Street plays a big role in this ability. He adores watching this program and we get to stroll down memory lane. Big Bird, Bert, Ernie have not changed much. However, we did not have Elmo. His high-pitched voice is a bit hard to swallow (for us) but our child loves him.

Soft, fluffy, cuddly things are out and semi-truck toys are little B's choice for bedtime snuggles.

Eating powder. We are trying to figure out what side of the family this trait comes from. ;) He really likes to eat it.

Lately, Benjamin has formed a strong opinion about our singing. He is not a fan. He tells us, "no, Mami/Papi, no more." "No, talking/singing". And, we thought we were our own worst critics. He also tells us to "sit down and relax". Hmmm....

The latest trip to the zoo was a big change from the last time he visited. He is more vocal and displays more excitement when he sees the animals. The fish seemed to excite him the most and the tunnel in between the aquarium was the icing on top of the cake. Benjamin's buddies Kai and Charlotte were the perfect partners in crime when it comes to climbing and running around the zoo. They are still at that stage where they play around one another as opposed to playing with one another but they are cute to watch them in action.

Running with Kai.

By far one of Benjamin's favorite "animals" - the digger.

Staring at a chipmunk.

Tunnel amazement.

"The fish is swimming" - a statement repeated over and over, and over and over, and...

Digging for something...

Merry-go-round fun.

Looking at a rather large kitty cat.

Little B is wondering where the elephant's toys are as it bathes in a giant bath tub.

Saying goodbye to his friends.

Ahh..lest not we forget. Where did our long-haired "hippie" baby go?
