This blog entry is dedicated to Benjamin's favorite female cousin: Lilly! Benjamin and Lilly may not be the best when sharing but they certainly know how to have a good time!
Benjamin likes to squeal and point at the moon and say ball. Or maybe he is saying, "mah, mah, mah"...but regardless his word for ball sounds like the same word for moon. But, we get it - the moon is round like a ball. So, "yes, son, the moon is a ball."

Mami and Benjamin just survived 5 1/2 days without Papi. The days were long, the nights were short, and we missed him for an eternity. Papi comes home tomorrow night and we are looking forward to the reunion. Luckily, at this point, Benjamin really has no concept of time and most likely thinks it's only been an hour since we last saw Papi. Mami, on the other hand really appreciates Papi for all his help with the dishes, diapers, house cleaning, naps, baths, bedtime stories, and especially adult conversation. Mami has had a real dose of "single" life and she really has a new appreciation for single parenthood. Mami cannot wait to see Benjamin's smile tomorrow when Papi walks through the door.
Mami kept Benjamin busy while Papi was away. He hung out with his cousin Lilly a couple of times this week. We did a photo shoot at the Picture People and it is a real challenge to get two toddlers to focus on the photographer. Food and props were a good distraction but cooperation was difficult. But, regardless, they were cute, cute, cute, together.

Today, Benjamin and Lilly spent the gorgeous day outside at the zoo. Train ride, monkeys, reptiles, amphibians, petting zoo, and the playground kept the kids busy. it was a wonderful day spent together and Benjamin will truly miss the Houston Zoo. When we return, we cannot wait to see the changes that are abound for the zoo.
