Our Olympic Medal Winner!

The "innocent" face of our little speedy Gonzalez.

After a two-week hiatus, Benjamin returned to swimming lessons. He did so well! He was dunked under the water, actually grabbed the brightly colored rings sitting on a platform, and brought them up in his arms. Talk about a proud moment. Our little fish is completely familiar and comfortable with his lessons. Michael Phelps move over.

Benjamin also started spanish lessons last week. He sang, danced, chased bubbles, and helped his Mami with an art project. He, along with the other kids enjoyed his morning listening to children's music.

And, now time for parental bragging rights...Our neighborhood park threw a Toddler Olympics last Saturday. Benjamin won third place (bronze) for the short jump. Alright, alright - we must admit, Papi helped Benjamin "jump" over the line...but it was cute to watch. Unfortunately, we ran out of battery juice so no medal winning photos.

We finally had the dead trees, leaves removed from our street. After 3 weeks, the remnants of the storm are still apparent as there are still homes with large trees in the middle of them. These photos do not fully describe the magnitude of the damage. Images such as these, should make all of us stop and appreciate what we have. This will conclude our Hurricane Ike montage...unless, there is just something too interesting to pass up and share.

Till next week! Thanks for reading.
