This past week, Papi left for a couple of days to Denver on business. Mami and Benja had quality time together playing with toys and going for walks. This quality time was great, however, Mami was ready for some reprieve when Papi returned. We all "survived" our brief separation.
"Aunt" Jill and "Uncle" Brian visited us this weekend. They gave us some relief from baby duties and entertained Benjamin as we shopped for a Christmas tree and during the 5k family fun walk. We will report on the tree decorating next week.
Saturday was the 20th Annual "Lights in the Heights" street festival in our neighborhood. The lights and people were amusing for Benja and for us as well. We saw drunks on mopeds, a flaming art car, strollers and wagons covered in lights, live music on the porch, and horse poop on the road (Thanks HPD !)
On Sunday the YMCA Jingle Bell Family Walk took place. We had a nice walk despite the warmer than usual weather. This is Benjamin's 2nd 5 k. He stayed awake for the beginning of the race and passed out toward the end. He was a real trooper. We all enjoyed the sights and sounds in addition to our company... check out the fotos...
Benjamin is still scooting his little butt around and continues to practice his dexterity and vocal skills.
Till next week. (We are waiting patiently for cooler weather to appear....)
