Benjamin's personality is really starting to shine. He has found his feet and likes to stare at them and pull on them as he sits in his car seat or on our laps. He grabs onto his toys and is almost to the point of keeping them in his mouth. He is still more or less interested in what is going on around him and/or his feet/hands.
Loud coos and yelps are cute and random surprises. If only we could convince him that fighting sleep is not as beneficial as actually sleeping. He loves his baths and hangs out patiently as we bathe him. I am not sure if it is the warm water or our singing that he enjoys. But, he just lets us clean him as he watches his crazy parents scrub him.
Benjamin has had a few "blow outs" on his mom. Mom is adjusting to the poop on her clothes. Dad has been lucky as of yet. Mom cannot wait for dad to experience a blow out. ;)
Benjamin went to his first B.I.R.T.H. Fair (http://www.houbirth.org/) and hung out with his doula, Kathleen (http://www.laborenabler.com/). He seemed to flirt quite a bit with the ladies and was a real hit.
He got his foot inked and we went home with a copy of his footprint. He weighed in at 13 pounds 6 ounces.
We are grateful that Benjamin is a social butterfly - he does really well in public situations.
Here's to another week full of Benjamin love and laughter.
