When it comes to fun, all good things must come to end. And, well Benjamin had to say goodbye to his grandparents. He really loved all that extra love and attention that he got from them. What a treat for him to get to know his grandparents so well. Thank you Grandpa and Grandma Gonzalez for your visit! We had such a wonderful time with you.
One of those fun-filled days was spent at yet another beach. This time we ventured to Leblon and enjoyed the tranquility of the ocean, sand, and making sand "cookies".
Swinging by the beach.
Oblivious to the beautiful view behind him.
Just a little hint that maybe it's time to head back for a nap.
GUACAMOLE. Yep, we are always searching for a decent "Mexican" food restaurant and Benjamin did not want to share his portion of green goodness so we will return to Taco Tequila.
Frozen yogurt with strawberries, mangoes, and gummy bears makes our child climb where he shouldn't.
We attended an "America Day" function sponsored by the American Society of Rio de Janeiro which was a wonderful kid-friendly event. Words nor photos can express how much our little monkey had in those five hours of entertainment. Just a "glimpse" of what our son enjoyed:
Naturally: This little monkey goes everywhere we go.
Jump high little guy.
The Escola Americana do Rio de Janeiro (American School) campus (actually the sister school where Benjamin will be attending) is absolutely beautiful.
Watching the band:
Looks like he is pledging his allegiance.
We were lucky he was exhausted when we left or we would have had issues leaving. He passed out in the car within 2 minutes.
Another adventure of ours was checking out the very cool Hippie Fair in Ipanema
Benjamin "conversing" with the Converse shoe paintings.
Talking art with an artist.
We are heading back to the States soon and will celebrate someone's big THIRD birthday so we will be blogging from "home" in a few. Till next time.

you know when you move back to the states you're going to have to move to Galveston... he's going to be so use to the beach! ;-)
Great photos, per usual. I really like the one where he's standing next to the big plant... it looks like you may have said DON'T SMILE because he has that big goofy grin on his face. ;)
He's getting cuter and cuter with each passing day, I tell ya...
LOoks like a great time. Can't wait to see you guys!
