Independence

Our little boy is the epitome of independence. He likes to do everything on his terms: feed himself, get his shoes, "set" the alarm, and brush his teeth. Another is that he loves to brush his teeth (well, he loves eating the strawberry flavored toothpaste). But, hey, at least he enjoys the idea of brushing. Mami and Papi assist him with his attempts but for the most part it isn't a big ordeal.

Favorite Pastime:
Nothing like reading a good book.

HISTORY:

History was made today and Benjamin clapped on cue. Benjamin has now officially had two Presidents in his lifetime and many more to go.

Random Cute/Funny Stuff:

Benjamin woke us up the other night at 3:00 a.m. to inform us that his sock had come off his foot. Now, if he took it off is a mystery but we put it on and he fell back asleep.

Mami put Benjamin in the bathtub with his socks still on his feet. What's silly or “sad” is that she didn't notice until the end of the bath when she was done washing his hair, body, and was going for a foot scrub. Mami must need more sleep or a different brain? Currently under debate.

Red socks:

There's some sort of fixation with red socks. Benjamin loves to dig through his sock drawer and pull out the 2 pairs of red socks he owns and play with them.

Favorite foods:

To name just a few:
Black beans, cheese, pears, strawberries, veggie chips, guacamole, blueberries, and black berries.

Here are some fantastic photos that our neighbor Courtney (Benjamin's buddy) took of our little guy - we hope you enjoy the photos! Some pics are a few months old and others are current - regardless, they are cute.

Till next week!
