He can sit up now (unassisted)!

He had some rice cereal with a bit of reservation. At first, he seemed a bit confused as to what we were doing but he is catching on to this "food" thing.
He opened his first gift! He loves to eat wrapping paper.

Drooling, playing, talking, and chewing - Benjamin style.
So, "Aunt" Sarah and "Uncle" Jason gave Benjamin one of his first gifts of the season. He got a bathtapus - now, what is a bathtapus - you might be wondering? Well, it's an octupus toy for his play/bath time. Sarah and Jason's dog, Choco brought his toy along and well, Choco and Benjamin seemed to be digging their octupus.
We had lunch at one of our local Heights hangout - Berryhill - Benjamin loves the sound of the water fountain and if he had it his way - he would be in the water. Here is an example of his latest trick - he loves to stick his tongue out!
So, here he is - grabbing the spoon - unbeknownst to him - it's not just mother's milk. ;)

Benjamin and his cousin Lily shared their first Christmas together. Watching them open their gifts was a real treat for us all. Christmas had a new meaning this year because there is nothing like watching the innocence of a child.
We headed to Galveston to check out the "stink" about the Festival of Lights at Moody Gardens. Benjamin was a real trooper and hung out in the cool night wrapped in his homemade blanket and hat. The lights kept his attention and mom and dad got to walk off their gluttenous binge eating.
Benjamin encountered a dinosaur while waiting in line - luckily Papi was there to save him. ;)
We will post another blog with our favorite photographs from Benjamin's first Christmas with Santa....There was just too much to show for this week....We hope you all had a memorable holiday. We enjoyed our holiday being a "kid" with our kid.
